The Closing and Dissemination Meeting of our Project took place on 14 August 2018 in Samsun North Point Hotel in cooperation with ZİÇEV Samsun Branch. A large number of participants consist of academicians, teachers and participants from relevant public institutions participated in the meeting. The opening speeches of the meeting were made by Asuman Erdem, Project coordinator, Ülay Karakoç, President of ZİÇEV and Şazile Karagöz from Atakum RAM. In her opening speech, Asuman Erdem talked about the main activities carried out within the scope of the project, while Ülay Karakoç emphasized what the project meant in the field of special education. Şazile Karagöz summarized what the project refers to as a stakeholder institution and explained that stakeholder institutions have taken important steps in terms of recognizing each other with such meaningful projects and creating a culture of co-operation along with the impact in the field.
In the first part of the meeting, ZİÇEV Researcher and Strategist Uğur Ersoy summarized the findings of the field work carried out within the scope of the project. He also touched on how the field work carried out for preschool teachers to identfy the target group's profile, their perceptions and training needs, contributed to the preparation of other outputs of the Project. In the next part of the meeting, Dr. Arif Yılmaz from Hacettepe University, Department of Early Childhood Education gave detailed information about the assessment tool for educational environment prepared within the scope of the project, the training program developed for the preschool teachers and also the e-portal and the platform that will be used by the target group of teachers. After their presentations, Ersoy and Yilmaz answered the questions from the meeting participants. The meeting, which was very successful and highly attended, ended with the closing speech made by ZİÇEV President Ülay Karakoç. The project will end on August 31, 2018. However, the dissemination efforts will continue.
